The Ayine Bag Large is Aketekete's distinctive silhouette and a year-round best-seller. The Ayine Bag's natural straw exterior and tie and dye cotton interior exude rustic charm. With an oversized look, our large bag has buttons on both sides that reinforce it and make it easier to use. It has two complementing removable cloth handles and can be worn with nearly any outfit. A drawstring closure secures all of your essentials and more.

The Aketekete Bags Collection is created in partnership with highly talented weavers and dyers from Ghana. All bags are handmade and each piece is unique so slight variations may exist in colors, pattern, size, and shape.

Care Instruction

Our baskets are made of a strong and flexible material called straw (or elephant grass) which will allow you to use it as much as you want and will cover all your needs. Although, cause it’s natural nature we strongly recommend avoiding humidity, direct sunlight, and dust.

All our linings, handles and any kind of fabric on our pieces are made by cotton or linen fabric over-stock o curtains found on local markets. We recommend washing it by hand or with dedicated mode 30ºC on the washing machine.
